Insomnia
Insomnia is the most common sleep disorder. It is a condition in which you have difficulty falling asleep or staying asleep throughout the night. It might be caused by tiredness, stress and worry, hormones, or digestive issues. It might also be an indication of a different condition. The disorder is most prevalent among older, adults and women.
Insomnia can be a serious problem for your overall health and quality of life.
It may result in:
depression
irritability
impaired work
difficulty concentrating
weight gain
Insomnia is often categorized into three groups:
Chronic - when insomnia happens on a regular basis for at least 1 month
Intermittent - when insomnia occurs periodically
Transient - when insomnia lasts for just a few nights at a time
